Fontis worked with NHS Dorset to support the development of key technical elements of the Maternity Matters website, a valuable resource for expectant and new families in the region.
As part of this collaboration, we created two key interactive tools: a self-referral form for maternity physiotherapy referrals, and an ‘in your area’ interactive map. These tools were developed to streamline access to services and make vital information easier to navigate.
The self-referral form simplifies the process for users to access physiotherapy services by enabling them to complete referrals quickly and easily directly through the website, without needing to contact healthcare providers by phone. Meanwhile, the map tool draws in data from multiple external sources to present a user-friendly overview of local support services, helping families find relevant help close to home.
Since its launch, the website has provided a valuable platform for delivering consistent, locally relevant maternity information, and continues to evolve to meet the needs of its users.

The Maternity Matters website is a fantastic resource for new and expectant families in Dorset, and we were delighted to support its development with interactive tools, to aid users' experience.
