BCP Council sought an innovative approach to engage the public and key stakeholders in the consultation process for a proposed redevelopment of a central urban area in Bournemouth, to create a more accessible, healthy, community-focused space.
Traditional consultation methods can sometimes fail to convey the true potential of urban design changes. To bridge this gap, Fontis partnered with BCP Council cto reate an immersive experience that would help residents and decision-makers better visualise and understand the future of the space.
The tool allowed users to explore the proposed development plans in an interactive, engaging way, giving stakeholders the ability to virtually walk through the proposed environment and experience the potential benefits first-hand.
"We were excited to work with BCP Council to develop a creative solution for their consultation. The new area design had many benefits, including a healthier community space as traffic would have been diverted around it."
