We are proud to have worked with the team at the Orthopaedic Research Institute (ORI) on a range of pioneering projects, including the Cycling Against Hip Pain (CHAIN) programme.
Housed at Bournemouth University, and led by Professor Robert Middleton and Professor Tom Wainwright, ORI is at the forefront of healthcare revolution. It works with hospitals and industry partners to produce high quality academic and patient outcomes across the fields of orthopaedic surgery, related diseases, treatments, technologies and devices.
The virtual CHAIN course is a digital version of ORI’s successful CHAIN programme. The interactive eight-week course provides online exercise and education intervention for people with hip osteoarthritis. It offers flexible access to support, allowing individuals to follow the CHAIN programme in a convenient way for them, from their home or gym using a static bike. The programme also allows healthcare professionals to monitor individual progress on the course.
Fontis worked with ORI’s research team to develop the digital programme: we established a secure onboarding process compliant with data protection standards; built learning modules from the original programme’s materials; and created elements of the course content such as videos and animation.
